Biography of Dr Maria Montessori

Maria Montessori

Our school and pedagogy takes its name from one of the first female doctors of Italy, Maria Montessori (1870 – 1952).
In the early 1900's, Maria Montessori, began to develop her pedagogical approach, which is based upon the scientific studies of philosophy and education.
Since then, Montessori schools have spread little by little to every continent. Today there are over 22,000 Montessori schools around the world.

Wednesday English workshop for years 4-8

Every Wednesday from 9:30am until 12pm our English team proposes an English workshop in a dynamic environment. This includes a variety of both group and individual work which is as diverse as it is captivating.

Including singing, reading, manual activities, baking and various projects, the work is presented according to weekly themes which utilise the five senses.

By maintaining this natural approach, our experienced teachers can guide the child in discovering a new culture and language using repetition, action and memory.

For any information please contact us. Places for this workshop are limited.

Events

The learning experience is enriched by activities and events throughout the school year.

This is what makes us proud of our school identity.

Welcoming expatriated families for over 30 years

DSCN2292.JPG

For families, the choice of school is important and in some cases sometimes the priority for families arriving in France.
Parents and children are welcomed by native English teachers, while establishing a new home and becoming a part of the school community. Parent nights are organised to give families support and a network.
The families of our school build deep friendships that continue after their repatriation.
Montessori schools are more numerous outside of France, many children arrive already with a Montessori experience. This favourises rapid integration and success.
